✅ MTS – Service Policy & Terms of Engagement
1. Introduction
Megan’s Technical Services (“MTS”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides technical production, entertainment technology, installations, creative direction and related services.
These terms apply to all services provided by MTS unless otherwise agreed in writing.
By engaging MTS, the client (“you”, “your”) agrees to the following terms.
2. Scope of Services
MTS will deliver services as outlined in:

Approved quotations / proposals
-
Event briefs and technical riders
-
Written agreements / email confirmations
Any services requested beyond the agreed scope will be quoted and billed separately.
3. Booking & Confirmation
Services are confirmed only once:
-
A written acceptance of quote is received, and
-
Required deposit/payment terms are met
Verbal requests or provisional bookings are not binding until confirmed.
4. Deposits & Payment
Unless otherwise stated:
-
50% deposit required to secure the booking
-
Balance due before event start / installation handover
-
Late payment may delay delivery or incur penalties
Payment options will be provided on the invoice.
5. Changes & Additional Charges
Changes to event details, dates, equipment, or venue may affect cost and availability.
Additional charges may apply for:
-
Extra labour or extended hours
-
Travel, accommodation, per-diems (if applicable)
-
Additional equipment or emergency hires
-
Late changes or rush requirements
No equipment or labour will be supplied beyond the approved agreement without written confirmation.
6. Cancellations & Postponements
Client Cancellation:
-
More than 30 days prior: Deposit retained, balance waived
-
15–30 days prior: 75% of quoted amount payable
-
0–14 days prior: Full amount payable
Postponements:
Will be accommodated where possible. Deposit transfers are at MTS discretion and subject to availability.
7. Health, Safety & Venue Requirements
MTS prioritises safety and compliance.
Venue/client must ensure:

Suitable access, working space & power
-
Environment free of safety hazards
-
Necessary venue permissions & permits
-
Fire, rigging & electrical compliance
If unsafe conditions prevent delivery, MTS may suspend services without liability.
8. Equipment Use & Responsibility
MTS equipment remains our property at all times.
Clients agree:

Not to operate, move or alter equipment without permission
-
To protect equipment and cables from damage or interference
-
To supervise guest and public access around technical areas
Damage caused by negligence may be billed to the client.
9. Media, Creative & Intellectual Property
All creative concepts, designs, cues, programming files, and production materials remain the property of MTS unless transferred in writing.
MTS may use event images/video for portfolio and marketing unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Force Majeure
MTS is not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:

Weather
-
Load shedding / power failure not caused by MTS

Venue/technical access issues
-
Supplier or venue failure
-
Acts of God or emergency events
Where possible, alternative solutions will be offered.
11. Liability
MTS will perform services with professional skill, care and diligence.
MTS is not responsible for:
-
Venue infrastructure failures
-
Equipment supplied by third parties
-
Losses resulting from delays outside our control
-
Consequential or indirect damages
Client indemnifies MTS against claims arising from venue-related hazards or guest interference.
12. Confidentiality
All client information, event details and discussions are handled with confidentiality and professionalism.
13. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of South Africa.
Venue-specific regulations may also apply.
